The Air Jordan 1 Low ‘Silver Foil' is a firm clapback to all those classic sneakers | British GQ
The Air Jordan 1 Low has been around for the better part of four decades, and over the years, the sneakerverse has been blessed with some very big bangers like the upcoming Air Jordan 1 Low ‘Silver Foil.’ While most colourways keep it very clean and very simple, this one is anything but.

The ‘Silver Foil’ is all about contrasting textures. Working on top of a leather base, it's been given a metallic makeover that's slightly Y2K, slightly marathon ambulance, slightly dangerous tanning aid. It's smooth, it's sleek, and it's exactly what you'd find on every other pair of Air Jordans. But unlike every other pair of Air Jordans, it's overlaid by shiny, shiny crinkled panels that wrap around the collar, lacing system, and toebox.
The same aluminium-y material takes over the Swooshes along the sidewalls, and around the back, you'll find the legendary winged basketball emblem, which is basically like Michael Jordan's personal stamp of approval. A Jumpman logo hits the tongue, and all of this sits on top of all-white midsole that's infused with Nike's Air tech for extra comfort.

If you're an Air Jordan 1 Low stan, then 2024 is gonna be a big one for you. Not only is the Bottega bag-inspired Air Jordan 1 MM in the works, the Air Jordan 1 Mule is also coming very, very soon. If you like owning ultra-exclusive colourways, the ‘Year of the Dragon’ is limited to just 5,000 pairs worldwide. You'll probably end up with a L, but there's no harm in trying, right?
